So, in my never ending (and always failing) attempt to be better than Dylan in every way, I decided to set up a blog before I leave. Instead of already having been there for weeks and still showing no sign of wanting to share with people what I'm up to. 

Things I have already done for the trip:

-bought backpack and travel books

-bought travel insurance

-had going away dinner with family

In the process of:

-getting immunized 

-settling things up with employers

-saying goodbye to people

-adjusting to Japan time thanks to Skype and Dylan...

Things left to do:

-figure out what to pack

-get list from Dylan of what he wants me to pack

-PACK

-trivial little things like cut and dye hair
